Today at lunch I stopped by the construction site of the Pleasanton Chick-fil-A. It has been three weeks since my last post about the Construction Progress, and they have done a lot of work since that time. Definitely some visible progress.

My first view of the Chick-fil-A building was while stopped at the signal at 580. I immediately saw that finally the roofing was almost complete. For several months now the shingles have been sitting in stacks on the roof.

I could also see that a lot of brick work had been completed.

Here you can see some completed brick work. The outside of the building is definitely coming together.

Here is a view from the other end of the building. It is really coming together. I would imagine that in another couple weeks they will start the landscaping and paving.

Here is where the drive thru window will be. I am sure that I will drive through with Old Blue sometime in the future. However, I would rather eat inside.

I have been keeping a close watch out for an opening date on the Chick-fil-A website. There are a lot of new locations opening in the next couple of months, but still no date for Pleasanton. I saw a press release from earlier this year that Chick-fil-A was planning on opening almost 100 new restaurants this year.

There are several other California locations that have opening dates; Auburn (September 8), Stockton (October 20) and City of Industry (October 27). It is beginning to look like the Pleasanton location will not be The Closest Chick-fil-A to my house when it opens.

I guess I will have to have another In-N-Out lunch again in a couple weeks so I can take some more pictures of the Chick-fil-A construction. I enjoyed my nice burger and fries while reading the latest Eric M. Hamilton book.
