Pleasanton Chick-fil-A – Opening Day

Finally the day has come and the Pleasanton Chick-fil-A has opened. I have been busy teaching a class this week so was unable to check out the opening this morning.

However, late this afternoon I was able to make it there to get my opening day Chicken Sandwich.

Ordering at Chick-fil-A, Pleasanton, California, Opening DayI was soon ordering my meal, which did not take more than a couple of minutes. Chick-fil-A brings in a launch team to help during the opening and to train the local staff and it looked like things were running well.

As I stood in line I saw many people carrying out large orders. Luckily not everyone was eating in and I easily found a table to sit at.

In another couple minutes I was joined by my friend Roger who had stopped in to pick up an order to take home for dinner with his wife. He stopped by my table for a short visit before he headed home.

It was a chilly night with temps already down in the 40’s. It looks like most people were smart and brought coats or jackets.

Chick-fil-A, Pleasanton, Drive-thru, Long linesAs I left I also  took some pictures from around the building. Here you can see a long line of cars waiting to go through the drive-thru. Earlier in the day the line went all the way back to the Owens Drive. Luckily they had employees directing traffic and I was able to navigate my way out of the parking lot.

I talked to one of the trainers and she said that they have had a successful opening so far. She was surprised at the size of the restaurant. It has the largest seating area of the ones where she has helped with openings over the years.

I am already thinking of what I will order during my next visit. Maybe next week 🙂

  1. Does that store offer genuine Tabasco hot sauce, or Texas Pete? Darlene carries tiny bottles of the real hot stuff in her purse for me to put on my sandwich.
