Tonight I ate at a Chick-fil-A for the very fist time. I have known of Chick-fil-A for a long time, but since they only recently started opening in Northern California I have never eaten at one. The ones in Northern California are not close to either my office or home, but one will be opening close to the office soon.
I have a friend on Facebook who is a Chick-fil-A manager so I often see posts about them. It has been on my list of foods to try for quite some time.
As I arrived at my hotel in Dallas this afternoon I spotted one just before the turn into the parking lot. After going to mid-week Bible study I decided to stop by on my way back to the hotel.
Chick-fil-A is the “HOME OF THE ORIGINAL CHICKEN SANDWICH” as the sign proclaims. What also caught my eye was the large phone on the wall. It looks like I could have download an app and ordered on my own.
Since it was my first visit to a Chick-fil-A I was not sure of the whole process. It was almost closing time so it was not too busy so I didn’t have to wait in line. I placed my order and then stood there expecting to wait for my food. They told me to go sit down and they would deliver my food to my table. This was totally unexpected. I found a table and only had to wait a short time before my food was delivered.
I really liked the waffle cut fries. They had a great texture and taste. Especially when dipped in the Chick-fil-A sauce.
I also had The Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I of course did not know that I needed to pick up the sauces that I wanted on my sandwich, but really think that this is a good idea. Then you have control over what is added to the sandwich. You can choose between regular or light mayo or have something entirely different. Something to remember for next time.
Of course, I got the right combination figured out and the sandwich was really good.
I will definitely try and have another meal there before I head back home to California. Maybe it is a good thing they are opening one close to my office.
Now to get some sleep since I have lost two hours today. The morning will come very soon.
