The opening date of the Pleasanton Chick-fil-A is fast approaching. The opening is now less than two weeks away on November 17.
I stopped by the construction site today during lunch and it is definitely looking closer to being complete. Most of the outside work is now done and the landscaping looks nice.
Last Saturday evening I drove by while on the way home from the airport and you could also see that the interior work was almost complete.
Here you can see that the drive-thru is blocked, but it will soon be full of cars. I am still debating on whether to try and visit for lunch on the first day it is open. I am teaching a class and I will not have much time. Maybe an early dinner will be in order.
In this picture you can see that they do not yet have the menus up in the drive-thru. Also you can see an outdoor seating area. I can imagine myself enjoying a nice chicken sandwich while soaking up some warm California sun. Of course, while also enjoying a good book 🙂
The restaurant has a very good location and will most likely have a good lunch crowd from the surrounding businesses and companies. The In-N-Out across the parking lot is always busy for lunch.
While I was in Germany last week the Chick-fil-A in Stockton opened. I had received a personal invitation to attend the opening, but I was a little bit too far away. I will most likely come up with a reason to venture up to Stockton sometime soon and will pay it a visit and get some pictures of the completed restaurant.
I am looking forward to getting some good chicken soon. With the original BBQ sauce of course.
