During lunch today I stopped by the construction site of the Pleasanton Chick-fil-A and took some pictures.
In my post Coming Soon Chick-fil-A I shared pictures that I had taken in March and April when construction was just beginning.
I took this picture in mid May and you can see that the steel superstructure of the restaurant has been erected. I was not able to get close to take pictures as they were working with heavy equipment and had an area around the construction site cordoned off.
In this picture that I took today you can see that the have started framing the building. This picture is also interesting in that you can see the Pleasanton city limits sign. The new Chick-fil-A is being built right on the north border of the city and also along one of the major streets. The sign had previously been standing about where the retaining wall was built.
Here is a better view of the entire building and you can start to see what the finished building will look like. I really like the clouds in the sky in this picture.
I looked on the Chick-fil-A website today and there is not yet any mention of the opening date. I am sure that it is still months in the future as they currently list openings through the end of July.
Here is a view similar to the one in the picture from last month that is at the top of the post. You can definitely tell that they have made a lot of progress.
Here is a picture of the Chick-fil-A that I visited while in Dallas earlier this year.
How long will it take until we see a finished restaurant?
I will try and post another update in early July.
Steven
I have posted one picture from July 1 in my post: Sixteen Hours in a Middle Seat
See Pleasanton Chick-fil-A Construction Progress II for an update and also the announcement of the opening date.
Thanks for posting this! We’ve been wondering if it was a Chick-fil-A and keep checking the website as well. 🙂

There is a later blog post with the opening date. Thanks for posting it here though 🙂
