Tonight I took some pictures of the Firefighter sculpture in downtown Tracy.
I was downtown to get my haircut, which is usually when I will take pictures of the sculpture.
I find it interesting to see sculptures in different conditions. It gives you a different perspective.
Most of the pictures I have posted of the sculpture have been taken in bright light, so I thought I would share some taken at night.
You can see other pictures of the sculpture by clicking on The Firefighter, The Firefighter II or The Firefighter III – In the Rain. The earlier posts also give more information about the sculpture.
The Zeiss lens on my camera has very good light gathering capabilities so is good for taking pictures at night. At night the sculpture seems to have a golden glow as it is lit up.
The sculpture is life size and is of a tall firefighter. The Firefighter is 6’6″ tall.
There is some really nice detail on the sculpture. I really like the face of the sculpture. It really catches the essence of a firefighter.
The Firefighter looks like he is reflecting on the work that he has just done to help put out a fire. He looks tired, but also relieved that the work is done.
I hope you enjoyed these night shots of the Firefighter. Make sure that you visit the earlier posts in the series to see how he looks during the daytime.
