Tonight I have been thinking about hamburgers.
I was watching the History Channel while reading a book and a show was on about McDonald’s and Burger King.
This made me think about The First Hamburger. One candidate for the first restaurant hamburger is a little cafe on the courthouse square in Clarinda, Iowa.
When I make a hamburger at home, I cook it the same way using a cast iron skillet.
I like a basic hamburger with mayo, ketchup, mustard and pickles.
However, I do like a good In-N-Out Double-Double if I want a little more with my burger.
I am also thinking of a burger challenge that I undertook three years ago.
When Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said “Maybe we shouldn’t be eating a hamburger for breakfast, lunch and dinner” I thought about whether I had ever eaten a hamburger for all three meals in the same day.
I decided to take the AOC Burger Challenge. The burger in the picture above was my breakfast burger with a hamburger patty between two waffles.
I am now hungry for a hamburger, I have only had a couple of them in the last two years.
