Saturday Wanderings IV

Tonight I decided to add to my Saturday Wanderings series.

This post is more about wandering in my mind than physically, so here goes.

Here are some of the thoughts that are wandering through my mind tonight.

St. Michael Church, Jena, Germany, Martin LutherToday was Halloween, but it is also Reformation Day. In my post last night I shared some pictures from a church building in Germany that has ties to Martin Luther and the Reformation movement.

As I wandered around town today and saw how people dressed for Halloween, I thought about how opposite Halloween is from Reformation Day.

city of palms - Jericho - Palm Trees - Judges - Ehud and EglonI have also been studying for my Sunday morning class on the Judges and have been deciding what images to use in my presentation. Some of the events in Judges 3 take place near the City of Palms, so the picture above came to mind. I used it in my post Judges 3 Judges.

KC Masterpiece, BBQ Sauce, Kansas City, Royals, Baseball, World SeriesI also watched the World Series tonight and am happy that the Kansas City Royals now have three of the four wins they need to take the title. They only need one more KC Masterpiece.

Seoul, South Korea - New and Old - Palaces and Skyscrapers - January in SeoulI also watched several episodes of a Korean Drama today and thought of this picture that I shared a couple years ago in my post Packing Again.

Large Rice Aisle - Large Bags of Rice - Canadian Grocery Store - Rice Selection - Bagged RiceI also bought a new rice cooker today which made me think of my post The Rice Aisle. I plan on figuring out how to use it very soon. It has multiple functions and can also be used as a steamer, so I will have some fun experimenting with it.

Now to finish my presentation for tomorrow so that I can take advantage of that extra hour of sleep. I hope that everyone remembers to set their clocks to the new time.

Steven
