Harry Potter in Korean

Since I recently posted about Harry Potter in Different Languages, I thought I would share another of the Harry Potter books that I have in different languages. During a visit to Seoul years ago I stopped at a book store and purchased a copy, of the first book, in Korean.

Previously I have written posts about Harry Potter in English, Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese and Brazilian Portuguese.  I have books in only a small portion of the at least 75 different languages that the books have been translated into. I also have one more that I need to write about.

Harry Potter, Korean, different languagesThis is the Korean version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

You can see that the cover art is the same as the English version that we are used to, except that it has the title in Korean.

Harry Potter, Korean, different languagesThe back cover has the same picture as the English version, but includes text in Korean.

Harry Potter, Korean, different languagesThe front flyleaf has information about the author.

The back flyleaf is a list of other books in the series.

Can you read this edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone?
