Today I was finally able to get my hair cut. I last got my hair cut at the end of January, so it has been seven months.
On Friday our governor announced that hair salons could reopen for indoor service on Monday so I contacted my hair stylist and made an appointment.
You can see that my hair is a bit out of control with lots of waves and curls. I usually get my hair cut about every 10-12 weeks, so it was definitely time for a haircut.
Look at all the waves and curls. With hair over the ears it had really started to bother me in the past few weeks. It was also long enough to cover my eyes.
I was the first patron for the day, so didn’t have to wait for the person ahead of me to be finished. When I walked in I had to sign in, which was definitely a new procedure. I had to answer some questions about my health and they also took my temperature.
Then Michele got busy and the floor was soon covered with piles of hair.
I had to unhook my mask and hold it in place for both the trimmer work and for washing my hair. Once the scissor work started I was able to hook the mask back in place which was more comfortable.
Here is the pile of trimmings after they were swept up. You can see a lot of curls in the pile and a lot of natural highlights.
Here is the after picture. You can see that it looks a lot different.
Once I got back home I did do some trimming of the beard, but not too much. It doesn’t bother me by tickling my ears or getting in my eyes.
Hopefully I won’t have to wait another seven months for the next haircut.
Steven
That’s a pile of hair!
