In my post about Hostess I ♥ U Cakes I mentioned that I had found three limited edition Hostess snack cake flavors for Valentine’s Day. The first was Dark Chocolate Raspberry CupCakes.

This post is about the third which is Chocolate Covered Strawberry CupCakes.

The boxes are all nicely decorated for Valentine’s Day.

You can see that the CupCake has the original squiggle on top of a nice chocolate frosting layer. The strawberry is the flavor of the cake.

When I opened the box there was a nice strawberry smell. You could see the individually wrapped cupcakes.

This definitely looks like a classic Hostess CupCake, except the color is a little different. The cake itself also lives up to the picture with the nice original squiggle.

The cake had a great strawberry taste and there was a good balance between the frosting, cake and creme filling. I really enjoyed this CupCake and it is definitely my favorite among the three limited edition cakes.

Now to see what the next limited edition cakes will be. Maybe something for St. Patrick’s Day? I did see shamrock shakes at McDonald’s this evening, but with a whopping 660 calories I decided that it was not an option 🙂
