Tuesday is Australia Day. It is Monday night as I write this but it is already Australia Day down under.
Australia Day marks the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788.
So, to honour Australia Day here are a few pictures from Sydney.
Here is a view of the Sydney skyline from the Taronga Zoo across the harbour.
Here you can see a closeup view of the Australian flag on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
You can also see a group of people on top of the bridge. If you are not afraid of heights and have a couple hundred dollars to spare you can climb to the top of the bridge. This is not on my bucket list 🙂
I am sure that some of my Australian friends will have a barbecue. Or perhaps they will have an Afternoon Braai since some of them are from South Africa.
Or, maybe they will spend some time at Sydney Harbour and watch the sunset near the Sydney Opera House.
So, for all of my Australian friends I wish you a happy Australia Day.
Steven
