The year is slowly drawing to an end and that means it is time for holidays.
Christmas and New Year are not the only holidays this time of year. There is also Hanukka which just ended and Kwanzaa which begins the day after Christmas.
Of course, there is also Boxing Day and several designated commercial days like Gift Card Redemption Day.
The First Day of Winter is also less than a week away and we can look forward to longer days.Christmas carols are playing in the mall and on many radio stations.
Even the Bluegrass station that I listen to while I drive is playing a lot of Christmas carols. Did you know that Good King Wenceslas is not a Christmas carol? Instead it is about St. Stephen’s Day which is celebrated on December 26. Click on the following link to learn more about Good King Wenceslas.
Of course it is also the time of year when many people send out Christmas or Holiday cards. The card above was used in my post Classic Christmas Cards.
It is also the time of year for a Dickens Christmas and read or watch A Christmas Carol.
Do you have a favorite Christmas story you read or a favorite Christmas movie or TV show you always watch?
