A couple days ago I wrote a post about a December Rose.
At the end of the post I mentioned that in a few days the rose would possibly have raindrops on it.
This morning it indeed had raindrops on it. The first two pictures here were taken with my i-Phone and messaged to some friends, so I decided to use them in the post also.
I really like the raindrops on this beautiful Mister Lincoln rose.
Here is a closer look at the raindrop laden petals.
I am so thankful for the rain that brought these raindrops. It has rained off and on all day and is raining again as I write this.
This picture was taken with my camera. You can tell the difference in the color. Different camera sensors react to color differently, especially reds. I have heard that red is the most difficult color to capture accurately with a digital camera.
Here is another view showing the petals opening. The rose has opened even further tonight, but it was too dark to take a good picture when I got home. I will most likely be taking pictures again in the morning. Hopefully the rain will not have damaged the bloom too much.
Here is a picture of another bloom that is opening. The raindrops really pop in this picture.
I can definitely say that raindrops on roses are among my favorite things.
Which of these pictures is your favorite?
Steven
