After a late Sunday afternoon nap I realized that I needed to take a long walk to meet my step count for the day.
The sun was already setting as I headed out for the walk, so I knew that it would get a bit dark as I walked. For part of my walk I decided to walk through an area that I had walked through before. See Nature Walk and Laughing Kookaburra
The walkway was nice and smooth since it is a walking/biking path. At one point I had to go under a road and both the path and creek went through an underpass. This is the same creek that flows by my apartment.
You can see in this picture that it is getting dark. I took this picture just after I turned around and headed back toward the apartment.
Here you can see the moon and also the silhouettes of the trees. One of the amazing things here are the towering trees. However, they can be dangerous as they sometimes drop large branches.
Along the path there is also a bike park where you can ride up ramps and make jumps. I am sure that it could also be used for skateboards, but it was designed for bikes. The park is covered with colorful graffiti, which I didn’t even try and decode.
There was also a grey tiger strip cat that was hanging out in the bike park and just had to be in the picture.
Just as I left the bike path I decided to take a picture of the Shrimptons Creek sign. I could of course taken a direct shot, but didn’t want the man sitting on the park bench think I was taking a picture of him. Also, this is probably how you would see it as you walked by as it is set at an angle from the sidewalk. This is your glance to the side š
All in all it was a nice walk and I ended up meeting my step goal for the day.
