Today I was able to get my Nando’s Fix.
I am sure that some of you caught the hint as to where I was going for lunch after church services this morning.
When I arrived at the shopping center I started to look for the Nando’s.
As I got close to where I knew that it would be I saw an arrow showing the way. I was going to crop out more of the picture, but I thought that Fire Hydrant might be appropriate for spicy chicken.
I soon saw my destination and joined the line to make my order. After making my order for a 1/4 chicken I picked up a bottle of extra sauce to use with my chicken and fries.
You had a choice of Tomato Sauce (Catsup), vinegar, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot and Extra Extra Hot.
I then found an empty table and set down to wait for my spicy chicken.
I really like the numbers they give you to mark your table. A nice large chicken with the number.
You can also see in the picture that I chose some Hot Peri Peri sauce to supplement the sauce that will already be on the chicken.
The chicken finally arrived and I was set to dig in. My mouth was salivating. My taste buds were waiting.
Hot for the adventurous Heat Seekers, was a good description. The chicken was nice and spicy. It was so good. Then it was time to dip the chips in the sauce and enjoy that nice Peri Peri taste.
The plate was soon just a pile of bones.
I will definitely be getting my Nando’s fix a few times during the trip. I may even get adventurous and try the Extra Hot sauce.
I am watching Cricket while writing this post and will be headed to bed as soon as the match is over. It has been a long time since I last rolled out of a bed on Friday morning.
I published two posts fairly close to each other to get myself synchronized to where I can write my daily post in the evening here, so make sure you visit the previous post Summer Down Under.
What is your favorite chicken restaurant?
Steven
