Tracy Rose Garden

Today after visiting the library I walked over to the Tracy Rose Garden to take some pictures. It was not a long walk as it is right beside the library πŸ™‚

Tracy California, Rose Garden, Garden ClubThe Rose Garden was dedicated in 1990 and was donated by the Tracy Community Garden Club.

Over the years I have really enjoyed walking through the rose garden as it has a lot of nice roses.

Tonight I will share a few of the pictures that I took today.

Rose Garden, Tracy, California, Tracy Garden ClubHere you see one quadrant of the rose garden. There is an outer ring of beds and two inner rings with paths that run between them.

Rose Garden, Tracy, California, Tracy Garden ClubThere are a lot of interesting roses in the garden and I wish that they had names displayed for each of them. I could probably look them up, and it is a possibility that I might as there are a few that I might like to have in my own garden.

I really like this rose with pink and white petals.

Rose Garden, Tracy, California, Tracy Garden ClubThis is a beautiful color for a rose. We have had heat and then wind so the edges of the petals are a bit wilted.

Rose Garden, Tracy, California, Tracy Garden ClubHere is another interesting rose. You can see that the color of the rose changes somewhat as it opens. I like the combination of the pink and yellow. It looks like the yellow fades and the pink intensifies as it opens.

Rose Garden, Tracy, California, Tracy Garden ClubIn the center of the rose garden there is a sculpture that is also a place to sit. Somewhere I have some closeup pictures of the details. Perhaps I will share them someday.

It is nice to see the return of roses in the spring. Luckily, we have a long blooming season for roses. There are only a few months of the year when I don’t have roses blooming.

What type of rose should I add to my garden?

Red Image Search

Almost exactly a year ago I wrote a post titled Blue Image Search.

That night I had no idea of what to post so I decided to just pick a color and search my blog images to see what I came up with.

I decided to click on Add Media and then type blue in the search field. Tonight I am typing red in the search field.

What β€˜Red’ images will I find?

They may not end up being red in color.

Sleeping, nap time, grandpa and granddaughter, Throwback ThursdayOf course red is more likely to be part of a word than what blue is. That is the case for this image which was labeled tired.

This picture was used in a post titled Tired Thursday which was posted on a day when I was very tired and wanted to go to bed early.

I passed on some other images where a word had red in them like covered and the rest of the pictures will be more what you might think would be in this post πŸ™‚

Red Rose, Mr. Lincoln, rose Bush, Raindrops on RosesHere is a beautiful red rose that I used in my post April Showers.

Classic VW Beetle - Volkswagen Beetle - Mexico City - Slug Bug - Punch BuggyHow about a Red Beetle that I used in my post Slug Bugs.

Red Hills - Clark County, Kansas - Ashland, Kansas - Red Dirt CountryHere are some Red Hills from my post Red Dirt Country.

Happy Hollisters, Red Book Spines, No dust jacketsHere are some Red Books. Do any of you remember these classic kid books? See my post Happy Hollisters II.

Red Tree, Red Leaves, Pagoda, Ueno Zoo, Tokyo, JapanI took this picture at the Ueno Zoo in Tokyo. I labeled this picture Red Tree Pagoda.

I used this picture in my post Trees at the Zoo.

I have a lot more ‘red’ images, but I think you get the picture πŸ™‚

I wonder if this will get more views than Blue Image Search? It actually will not take much as the post has received only 11 views in the year since I posted it.

Which ‘red’ image do you like best?

Steven
