The next destination on my Virtual Hike was Caribou, Nova Scotia.
The previous destination on my virtual hike was Newport, Nova Scotia, where one of my ancestors lived in Canada back in the 18th century.
I have been heading toward Prince Edward Island and this is the last stretch.
The area I am virtually hiking through is fairly flat and rural. There are a few towns to go through, but no big cities.
One of the things I like about the walk option in Google Maps is that sometimes it takes you down some country roads.
Here is the ferry that I will use to cross over to Prince Edward Island.
There is a bridge that goes to Prince Edward Island, but you are not allowed to walk across it, so to keep with the spirit of the virtual hike I must take the ferry.
Once I reach Prince Edward Island I will head to where one of my favorite book series is set.
