Painting is Complete

Today was the final day of the painting project.

I  stayed inside out of the way for most of the day and let the painters do their work, with only occasional interaction to open doors or answer a question.

Paining, new color, project finished, blue and white, shadows, laddersIt was interesting to watch them work from inside.

Paining, new color, project finished, blue and white, shadows, laddersDo you see the boots on the ladder?

Paining, new color, project finished, blue and white, shadows, laddersI did go outside to get this picture. I knew the painter was on the roof painting the chimney from the sounds coming from above me inside.

I thought about having you click to go to another post for the before picture, but will post the picture here. (If you click on the link above you will find some nice pictures of a Sunday Afternoon Walk along with the picture below).

House, ready to wash, ready to paint, springYou can see one interesting change, the shutters on both sides of the upper window are now gone. They were made of particle board and were too damaged by moisture to save. I think you will like what we did instead. It is simple but elegant.

It may seem that the house number is gone, but in each picture it was simply obscured. It is easier to obscure on a white background 🙂

What do you think of the color scheme?
