Today was the final day of the painting project.
I stayed inside out of the way for most of the day and let the painters do their work, with only occasional interaction to open doors or answer a question.
It was interesting to watch them work from inside.

I did go outside to get this picture. I knew the painter was on the roof painting the chimney from the sounds coming from above me inside.
Here you can see how the blue/gray color looks in different light.
Now for the picture you are all waiting for. Here is the new look after my house has been painted.
I thought about having you click to go to another post for the before picture, but will post the picture here. (If you click on the link above you will find some nice pictures of a Sunday Afternoon Walk along with the picture below).
You can see one interesting change, the shutters on both sides of the upper window are now gone. They were made of particle board and were too damaged by moisture to save. I think you will like what we did instead. It is simple but elegant.
It may seem that the house number is gone, but in each picture it was simply obscured. It is easier to obscure on a white background 🙂
