Long Wet Thanksgiving

Today was a wet day with wind and rain.

Today was also a Long Thanksgiving as I headed to Patterson to share a Thanksgiving feast with the Longs.

Old Blue, Bluey, Rainy Day, ThanksgivingI took Old Blue today as I needed to use some of the gas in the almost full tank. It was also nice to leave Bluey in the warm and dry garage while Old Blue braved the rain.

Thanksgiving Turkey, Long Thanksgiving, roasted turkeyWhen I arrived the house smelled really good as the turkey had just come out of the oven.

Thanksgiving food, feastThe turkey and all the other food was soon spread out on the serving table.

Turkey, Thanksgiving, Trimmings, garnishesThe turkey was placed on a serving platter with some grapes and greens. The garnishes made it look very nice.

Thanksgiving Plate, Thanksgiving FeastWe were soon having our Thanksgiving feast along with some good conversation. Including talking about some of the things we were thankful for.

The food was delicious.

We sat around for awhile to let the meal settle and then we had some pie before I headed back home.

It rained for most of the trip back and it was not fun to drive in as it was dark.

I have been busy packing this evening, but am finally done.

Tomorrow I will drive Old Blue to the airport for one last long stay at airport parking. Bluey is just too new to leave at the airport for a couple of weeks. When I get back home Old Blue will be heading to a new home. It is a bit sad, but driving Old Blue today reminds me why I started looking for a new car. It was time.

I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving.
