I recently found Hostess Apple Streusel Coffee Cakes at the store. I had seen a few ads for them, but hadn’t seen them in the stores.

Of course, I had to give them a try. They look delicious on the cover of the box.

When I opened the box I was a little surprised at the size of the cakes. They seemed a bit small. There was a lot of empty space in the box.

I pulled out one of the cakes and was again surprised by the weight of the cakes. These coffee cakes are heavy for their size.

They definitely looked like streusel cakes. A nice coating of sugar 🙂

I focused on this one a bit better. This is after taking a couple of bites. I couldn’t stop with just one. They are really good. A nice dense cake, which is why they are a bit heavy for the size. Definitely how a coffee cake should be.

Since they have a German influence I am also thinking of some nice coffee cakes I have had in Germany.

Hmm, I may just have to eat another one 🙂
