OK a little fun tonight as I will post five pictures of archeological sites and I want to see if people can tell what tels they are. Can you tell the tel?

Just a disclaimer, some of these are hoyuks which is the same thing as a tel.

Here is tel number one. This may be a tough one as it does not have much variation in shape.

Here is tel number two. This tel is in a beautiful unspoiled setting.

Here is tel number three. Watch out this one may be a bit deceptive.

Here is tel number four. It has a very distinctive shape, but be careful and don’t lose your head on this one.

Here is tel number five. Someday I would like to walk the twisting path to the top as there is a beautiful view from there.

I will watch the comments here and on Facebook and after the sites have been identified I will write a follow-up post.

I know of a couple people who will know all of these as they were with me when I took all five pictures.
