Today was a day of many meals and I felt a little bit like a hobbit.
For those of you that have seen Lord of the Rings, you know about second breakfast. However, if you know a bit more about the Tolkien world you know that a hobbit likes to have at least six meals a day.
My day started out with breakfast which consisted of the last contents of my fridge in Sydney. Cheese, yoghurt, toast with jam and the rest of the milk. See: Packing Twist
It was then off to the airport for the long flight home.
While waiting for my flight at the Sydney airport I had elevenses in the Singapore Airlines lounge. Some nice beef curry and some veggies.
Then on the plane it was time for lunch. I had a nice salmon dish that was pretty good for airplane food.
I had some ice cream with strawberries for dessert.
Later during the flight I had a sandwich for a snack.
By then the day had reset as we had crossed the International Date Line.
Before we landed in San Francisco we were served breakfast.
By the time I got close to the office I was a bit hungry so stopped by Chick-fil-A to have a second breakfast. (actually 3rd breakfast on February 16)
I used a promotion card that I receive on the opening day for the Pleasanton Chick-fil-A for a nice sausage biscuit.
I then went to the office to close out a few projects before heading on toward home for a second lunch and then a light dinner this evening.
Hmm, so how many meals did I have today? Breakfast, elevenses, lunch, late night snack, breakfast, second breakfast, lunch, dinner. Looks like a total of seven meals. Of course my day has had 43 hours so plenty of time to fit them all in.
Perhaps I need another late night snack.
