This afternoon I was cleaning my gutters and since I had my ladder out decided to do a little tree trimming.
Cleaning the gutters was not fun as I had to dig out wet dirty leaves. It will take days to get the dirt off of my hands 🙂
I thought that tomorrow was yard waste pick up day so decided to do enough trimming to fill up the container.
Most of the branches I trimmed off were not too big, but there was one large branch that needed to come down. It was a bit tricky as I had to very carefully lower it to the fence so that it didn’t cause any damage.
If you look at my post Overdue Yard Work you can see what the tree looked like before trimming started.
The next task was to break down all the branches into small enough pieces to fit in the yard waste container. The first branches were easy, but then it got complicated as it was getting dark and hard to see.
Well, this is a bit out of focus, but you can see that the container is almost full.
Later this evening I took the yard waste container out to the street, but then noticed that all my neighbors had out their recycling bins. We alternate weeks and unfortunately this is the wrong week. This causes a bit of a problem as I was counting on an empty yard waste container for rose pruning later this week. Now to figure out what to do.
I may be able to better consolidate the waste in the bin and at least get some pruning done.
Steven
Looks like you got a lot of work done. Kudos to you! 🙂
