Today was National Sandwich Day, so I had a couple of sandwiches to celebrate.
For lunch I went to Wendy’s and picked up my favorite Spicy Chicken sandwich. This evening I was tempted to cook something I saw on a show I was watching, but decided that I would just make a sandwich to further celebrate the day.
I did not take a picture of my sandwich at lunch, but did take a picture of the ham and Swiss sandwich that I had for dinner. The sandwich was simple, but that is one thing that I usually like about sandwiches. They are simple to make and there are many different combinations.
This one had honey ham and Swiss cheese and was between two slices of Home Pride Wheat bread.
Here is another sandwich that I shared in my Apricot Pepper Bacon post. This sandwich has Black Forest ham, Swiss cheese and bacon layered together between two slices of Home Pride Wheat bread.
Here is a pulled pork sandwich from Kinder’s that I had for my birthday last year. I recently found out that the Kinder’s near our office has closed.
Of course, sandwiches can be open faced as well. Here is a delicious open face turkey sandwich from the Red Tractor Cafe. Of course, turkey sandwiches are always nice after Thanksgiving Feasting.
I hope that you enjoyed this look at sandwiches. If you missed National Sandwich Day you can always celebrate a day late 🙂
