Here Comes the Strikeout

This weekend I picked up an interesting book at the library book sale.

Here Comes the Strikeout, Leonard Kessler, I Can Read, Weekly ReaderSince the baseball playoffs are in progress I decided to pick up this copy of Here Comes the Strikeout by Leonard Kessler.

I am watching the first game of the World Series tonight so needed a quick post. The strikeouts in the game pointed me to this book.

The book is about a boy who always strikes out. However, he works hard on his hitting with a friend and by the end of the book he has learned how to hit the ball.

Baseball - Little League Baseball - Bench Warmer - Baseball Dugout - Baseball MemoriesThe book could have very easily been about me. I was not a good batter, which meant that my position was usually sitting in the dugout on the bench.

However, playing on a Little League team is one of the many great Baseball Memories that I have.

As the game goes deeper into extra innings the memories are flooding back, especially of the games that I have watched in Kansas City.

I may just need to go to bed 🙂
