Last week I ran across another special edition Twinkie Flavor.

Have you seen the Banana Split Twinkies? They are a variety of the Chocodile Twinkies which are covered with chocolate. I have also seen Cherry Chocodile Twinkies.

The Banana Split Twinkies have the flavors of a banana split. You get banana creme filling along with a strawberry topping which is all encased inside of a chocolate shell.

The Twinkies are individually wrapped with a white wrapper. I assume that perhaps they use this wrapper since the chocolate can sometime get messy and it doesn’t look quite so good in the package. Of course the Hostess symbol is very visible on this wrapper.

The minions on the package are also pretty interesting. There have been several tie-ins with the minions this year with Hostess products. Perhaps because Twinkies can be used to make some pretty cool minions treats.

So how did they taste? They are very good. The chocolate with the banana creme filling is a good combination. Also, the little hint of strawberry adds to the flavor profile. You definitely get the taste of a banana split. Just no ice cream 😦
