Tonight I have been thinking about baseball and I found an interesting clipping in one of my Grandma’s Scrapbooks from 1962.
The World Cup is over and it is now time to bring the focus back to baseball.
The baseball season has come to the All-Star Break, and it is time to get ready for the run to the playoffs.
Here is a picture of the Hamburg Cubs team which was sponsored by the local Fire Department.
You can read a little more about the Hamburg Fire Department in my post: Hamburg Buildings
This team won the IAMO League with a record of 18-2.
I know two of the players that were on this team, and recognize the names of some of the others.
Do you know any of these baseball players?
For those of you with Hamburg roots who follow my blog, here is the caption below the photo with the player names and more details.
While writing this post this evening I thought of a few more baseball themed posts that I have written in the past.
Little League Baseball: This post features a really cool editorial cartoon.
Baseball Memories: Some of my memories and pictures from my baseball years.
The Perfect Game: Is this the most famous Perfect Game?
Are you ready for some baseball?
Who is your favorite MLB team?
The team of my heart is the Royals, but I am also an A’s fan.
