Night at Netanya

The tour members have all made it to Israel, although the main group was a bit late and a few members are without their luggage. Those of us who arrived early had fun finding each other so that we would be ready when the main tour group arrived. We were all meeting at the Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv, so I made sure that I captured a picture of one of the sculptures of him.

After all the tour members were accounted for we went out and boarded the bus.

We then had a nice drive from the airport to the seaside town of Netanya. Along the way we learned a little bit about the geography of the area as well as an overview of the tour and the essential ground rules.

We arrived at the hotel in time for me to catch the sun setting over the Mediterranean Sea.

After a quick orientation and distribution of room keys we headed to our rooms. But first I had to catch two more pictures of the setting sun.

After a quick trip to rooms to drop off bags we all met in the dining room for a buffet dinner. After dinner I took a walk with my roommate and several others to look at the sea.

The picture was taken earlier just after the sun set.

Tomorrow we Caesarea Martima, Mount Carmel, Megiddo, Nazareth and Cana of Galilee. Can someone tell me what happened at Cana?

We will end the day at Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee for the first of three nights there.

Now off to bed to rest up from the long days of flight.

Wonderful pictures, especially God’s awesome sunsets!!! Jesus changed the water to wine at Cana. Thanks for letting us share your tour!

I must admit to being jealous. We were at Qumran digging in May and June, then on up to possibly Ai site. I want to be there with you as you tour, we have toured two other times and cannot seem to get enough. Thank you for letting me be a part this way.

  3. What a cool and beautiful tour. A marriage happened at Cana. The first miracle, water into wine, when in middle of the feast the wine ran out. That situation could shoot anyone toward the gap where the unimaginable is. I guess Jesus just know how to get in there. The rest of us are still learning. Ha ha.

Netanya was my hometown, till I was 21 and then moved to the US. Your sunset pictures made me homesick.
