Black Image Search

Tonight I could not easily come up with a blog idea, so decided to do another color image search. My previous posts in this series are Blue Image Search, Red Image Search, Yellow Image Search, Green Image Search, Orange Image Search and Purple Image Search.

For these posts I simply pick a color and search my blog images to see what I come up with.

I am now going to click on Add Media and then type ‘black’ in the search field.

What ‘black’ images will I find?

They may not end up being black in color.

Black goats, Tarsus, Roman Road, TurkeyI took this picture of black goats near Tarsus, Turkey while walking on an old Roman road.

See: Flora and Fauna XII – Roman Road

SR-71 Blackbird - Lockheed - Castle Air MuseumHere is an SR-71 Blackbird that I took a picture of at the Castle Air museum.

Black Friday Ads, ThanksgivingThe search also brought up an image of Black Friday ads that I used in a post titled To the Stores after Thanksgiving.

Black Squirrel - Eastern Gray Squirrel - melanistic squirrel - Sciurus carolinensis - TorontoHave you ever seen Black Squirrels?

Black Widow Spider - Arachnid - Scary Anthropoda - Poisonous SpiderOr, how about a Black Widow from my post Scary Anthropoda.

I hope you enjoyed these ‘black’ images.

What color should I search for the next time I can’t think of what to post about?

Growing Back

This is always an interesting time of the year for my rose garden.

Pruning roses, January, yard work, roses, yellow rosesLess than a month ago the rose bushes were tall and had rose blooms.

rose garden, winter rose bushes, rosesThen came pruning time and the roses bushes were pretty much bare of leaves.

roses, new growth, growing back, rose bushesThen the roses start to grow back and slowly start to fill with new leaves.

rose garden, growing back rose bushes, leavesEach day there are more leaves as they start growing back.

rose leaves, new growth, spring growth, winter growthAs winter starts to come to a close I will have to start watching for the first blooms. Will I have blooms before spring?
