Wednesday Image Search – Kar

Welcome to another Wednesday Image Search where I pick a string of letters or a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.

Last week I searched for ‘jar.’ This week I will proceed to ‘kar.’

What images will I find?

Nischel, Karl Marx, Chemnitz, Socialism, Big Bust, HeadThe first image is a monument to Karl Marx in Chemnitz, Germany. When I told my colleagues in Germany that I was visiting Chemnitz they told me to make sure I saw the big head.potatoes, pork, onions

The next image is a delicious meal at the Kartoffel Haus in Jena, Germany.

Mausoleum of Halikarnassos - Statue in British Museum - Seven Wonders of the Ancient World - Stalking HorseHere is a horse head that came from one of the sculptures on top of the Mausoleum of Halikarnassos. This is one of the limited number of remains of the Seven Wonders of the World. This picture was taken at the British Museum in London.

Karatep Aslantas - Neo-Hittite - Rosetta Stone - Phoenician and LuwianThis picture was taken at Karatepe Aslantas which is a neo-Hittite site in Turkey. It is located near to where the recent earthquake in Turkey was centered.

Go Kart Racing, Sao Paulo Brazil, Indoor Go Kart Track, SportsFinally, we have a picture of me driving a Go-Kart on an indoor track in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I have some great memories from this outing with some of my students.

There were quite a few  ‘kar’ pictures to choose from. It is interesting to see what words included ‘kar’ as most of them were proper names.  I hope you enjoyed my selections.

Which is your favorite of these ‘kar’ pictures?

What should I search for next?  Since I am following a series with ‘?ar’  the next one will probably be ‘lar’ as I have a few to choose from.
