Today I have been teaching all day tomorrow. With virtual training and being further west of the International Date Line than other countries, this is becoming more common.
This is especially true for Australia, as we are only five time zones apart, but they are 19 hours ahead of us in time. For most of our day, they are a day ahead of us.
This week will be a challenging juggling of time as I virtually teach in Australia.
While the students were having breakfast on Monday morning, I was having an early lunch at home on Sunday.
We started the first day of class at noon on Sunday for me, and 7:00 AM for them on Monday.
While my students went out for lunch at Nando’s on Monday,
I was having an early dinner at home on Sunday.
Now to make a decision, do I keep to a normal sleep schedule or do I sleep in a bit on Monday morning before starting the next day of class at noon?
Today was good as I was not getting e-mails from people asking for help with various issues. Tomorrow the flood of e-mails will begin. Do I answer them on Monday morning? Do I wait until after class in the evening?
Another question is when do I take my daily walk? Do I walk during daylight before class, or do I walk in the dark in the evenings?
What day is it?
