This year for 4th of July Hostess brought out Patriotic CupCakes. They are basically Star Spangled CupCakes which they have brought out before.

They may have been available last year, as I don’t always see the limited edition CupCakes since I don’t usually shop at a store that carries them.

The CupCakes look very patriotic with the red, white and blue frosting.

The box itself is very colorful and the fireworks and stars add a nice touch.

I am sure that they changed the name to Patriotic so as not to refer to the National Anthem.

I opened the box and of course got a good view of the individually wrapped cakes as well as a nice aroma of cake.

The frosting is a little different from the Star Spangled CupCakes as they have regular sprinkles instead of stars.

It is interesting that they have both sprinkles and the original squiggle. This is a rare combination.

Of course, just as important as what it looks like is how it tastes. Thankfully, it is a nice moist cake and has a good taste.
