Tonight I am thinking about apricots.

Yesterday I was driving down a road between apricot orchards that were ready for harvest.

This made me think of one year when I helped pick some apricots.

We cut them in half, removed the stones and set them out to dry.

I am also remembering the great apricot ice cream they have at the Patterson Apricot Fiesta each year. Unfortunately it was cancelled this year, just as it was last year.

Apricot preserves are also really good. I think I still have some in my refrigerator and am now thinking of a peanut butter sandwich with apricot preserves.
