Rubber Band Ball

For quite some time now I have slowly been adding to my rubber band ball. It started as a rubber band chain which I then coiled up and started stretching rubber bands around.

rubber band, ball, pottery, pot, glazed, junior high art classOver the years the ball has been getting bigger and bigger and is now larger than the pot that I have kept it in. I actually have a Carmex jar in the pot to make sure it doesn’t drop down too far and get stuck.

rubber band, ball, pottery, pot, glazed, junior high art classThe pot that I keep it in has meaning to me. It brings back memories of my Junior High Art class where I made it. We had a great Art teacher. I will always remember Miss George.

I have another pot that I made about the same time that I use to hold some special items, but I will share that at another time.
