Welcome to another Wednesday Word Search where I pick a word and share some of the images I find in an image search of the blog.
Last week I searched for Tail which was the opposite of Head which I used the week before that. Tonight I go back somewhere in between.
The word for tonight is: Hand
This may be interesting as ‘hand’ is used in different ways.
Will all the images I find be of hands?
One of the first images that showed up in the search was a hand saw.
I also found an image of old hand drills. Have you ever used an old drill like this? When I was a kid I remember using one that my Dad had.
I was trying to figure out how this image showed up. You can see hands in the picture, but they were not in the key words, description or file name.
Then I figured it out. This is my friend Luke Chandler posing in a first century tomb in Israel.
How did this picture show up in the search? It is a first hand account about Sputnik that my Grandma wrote in a scrapbook. I also noticed that it mentions Prince Philip.
Here we have handmade noodles in Shanghai.
One last picture, and the only one that came up when I searched for hands instead of hand.
Here is a sculpture of a pair of clasped hands in a small park in Taipei.
Definitely an interesting mix of images from a search for ‘hand’. It is a good thing I searched for ‘hand’ instead of ‘hands’ or you would have only see the last image.
Which is your favorite ‘hand’ picture?
What should I search for next?
