On Tuesday nights I will often wait until I have watched The Curse of Oak Island before I write my blog post. I want to see if something exciting has been found and whether I want to write something.
Last week the teaser showed them investigating two possible wharves along the south side of the island.
It looks like the wharves extended from the two point on either side of the fresh water pond. One may have extended out up to 100 feet and been able to dock a large ship.
Last week it seemed that the work in the Money Pit area was done for the season, but in the preview for next week they are shown taking water samples from some of the holes they have previously drilled. The water samples may show trace of precious elements. Is this really significant?
The large metal bar that was found near the road in the swamp was looked at by the blacksmith and perhaps it was used on a large ship.
I was looking forward to what they had to say about the door in the cellar. However, nothing was said.
The most exciting find was a button that would have come off of a military coat. They may be able to find out who may have visited the island based on the button design.
Overall though the episode was not too exciting.
It is always interesting to watch the preview of the next episode.
Next week it looks like they are investigating water samples from the bore holes for precious metals. They also show the team getting excited about gold colored item found with the metal detector and some pottery that they dig up.
It may be an exciting episode, or perhaps just like last week we will have already seen the most exciting clips of the week in the preview 🙂
I know that there is at least one more episode, but probably more since they are not advertising the season finale yet. Again they hinted at things they will do next year, so looks like another season is in the works.
