An Old Wooden Tool on Oak Island

On Tuesday nights I will often wait until I have watched The Curse of Oak Island before I write my blog post. I want to see if something exciting has been found and whether I want to write something.

Curse of Oak Island, History Channel, Did they find anything?Last week the teaser showed the possibility of bringing up more evidence of a ship in the swamp. As the episode began it was soon apparent that it was too wet in the swamp to do anything deep in the mud. The stormy season was beginning and any searching deep in the swamp will have to wait for next year. There was definitely then talk of another season as they described what the plans will be for further searching.

Curse of Oak Island, Mahone Bay, Nova ScotiaThere were several good finds this week with the one most talked about being an old wooden tool carbon dated to the early 1600’s. With it being a masons tool of course there was more talk about the the Knight’s Templar and the Masons. Were they there in the early 1600’s burying treasure?

Oak Island, Money Pit, National Geographic, Curse of Oak IslandThe drilling was to have been complete for the season last week, but they brought back a rig to drill down 40 feet to check a theory of the translation of the 90 foot stone. However, only ground up pieces of a large boulder surfaced at the spot. This is what they got all excited about in the preview last week. Unfortunately it was not as exciting as they portrayed 🙂

Perhaps they will try again next year with a different starting point. They will have had many long hours of waiting to think about where to drill next year.

Oak Island, treasure, Randal SullivanThere was also a possible door found in the cellar they are searching through which looks like it may bring some excitement and another large metal bar has been found along the road in the swamp.

It is always interesting to watch the preview of the next episode.

Next week it looks like they are going to investigate a forgotten wharf along the shore of Oak Island. How far out did it extend? How big of a ship could have docked there?

It may be an exciting episode, or perhaps just like last week we will have already seen the most exciting clips of the week in the preview 🙂

You never know with this show.

I am not sure how many more episodes there will be this season, but there are at least two more scheduled.

Will there be another season next year? It is starting to look like a definite.
