Earlier this week I visited the Community Rose Garden after picking up some books at the library. It is nice that they at least have Lobby Pickup. I can request books and pick them up when they are available.
The garden is right by the library so I will often make a visit to it when I pick up books.
There are quite a few roses in the garden which consists of three rings of beds with a sculpture in the middle. Someday I will share pictures of the sculpture.
It was nice to see some roses other than the ones in my own rose garden.
These white ones are a bit withered but still look nice.
I like this one that has multiple colored blooms on the same bush.
You can see that the garden needs a little bit of work done, but I am sure this is partly because of social distance guidelines. Plus, we have had a lot of heat this summer.
There was a lot of new growth on some of the bushes, so they are definitely keeping them well watered. On this bush you can see the different phases in the life of a rose bloom starting with a new bud.
I have been enjoying some nice days without having to cool down the house during the day, but the temperature forecast for Sunday is 109. I hope it doesn’t get quite that hot.
