Tonight I am thankful for the rain. After more than a week of very bad air quality it was refreshing to have a day of rain.
The air quality had been dropping and would have finally dropped under 150 even without the rain, but with the rain it dropped all the way down below 50 for part of the day.
I was so thankful when I walked out this morning to pick up my newspaper and had to dodge raindrops. I was not quick enough and got wet 🙂
It was also good to see birds flying in the air. They were taking it easy all last week with the bad air quality. I hardly saw any birds last week, but today they were flying all over the place.
I could even see some blue sky from my front door when I went out to get the mail. It was so nice to see. However, it clouded back up and we had rain for most of the day and evening. I drove through very heavy rain on my way to Patterson this evening for Bible study. I will be heading back to Patterson tomorrow afternoon for a Long Thanksgiving.
Of course, rain means that my roses got wet. Here you see raindrops on my Tropicana rose bush.
Here is a closer look at the raindrops on one of the Tropicana blooms.
However, I like the look of raindrops on my Mister Lincoln rose much better.
Raindrops on roses are truly one of my favorite things. Especially if it is a rain like this that clears the air of the nasty smoke.
Continue to keep the residents of Paradise, California in your thoughts and prayers as they recover from the fires.
