This year Hostess released a limited edition of Strawberry CupCakes.

They came out around Valentine’s Day, but there were also other more specific cakes for the holiday. See: Chocolate Covered Strawberry CupCakes II

The Strawberry CupCakes box is quite simple with just a small grouping of strawberries in addition to the typical two images of a CupCake.

The side of the box is simple as well.

Of course, the cakes are individually wrapped. You can see here that they have a bit of frosting on them.

The first one that I pulled out looked really well formed on the top. In fact it looked almost exactly like the picture.

Here is the inside of the CupCake. You can see that the cake is strawberry. It is a bit denser than a normal CupCake, but not much more. To me it had a very good density and a nice strawberry flavor. Of course you have the creamy filling.

It may be a bit hard to see, but one side of the cake was covered with frosting. The top looked really good, but it was a bit sloppy on the side. Oh well, more sweetness 🙂

I also picked up a couple other limited editions and will share at least one of them a bit later this month.
