Lumberjack Day

On Friday I wore my red and black flannel shirt to work and received a few lumberjack comments. One of my coworkers told me to go cut down a tree.

Well, I didn’t cut down a tree today, but I did do a bit of tree trimming.

Backyard Tree, Tree Trimming, Lumberjack, Yard WorkI had a lot of yard work to do today. It has been piling up. I had to at least mow my front and back yards and I knew I needed to doing some tree trimming.

Unfortunately, I was not able to do all the work I wanted as it was very windy. I only took care of a few of the ones that were closest to the roof and fence. The blowing of the branches in the wind actually showed me which ones were most urgent.

Even though it is December some of them are still in full bloom. I will probably be trimming them all the way back sometime in January.

Brawny Paper Towls, Flannel Shirt, Red Shirt, BeardAfter finishing my yard work I went to the library to return and pick up books. It was then off for my Saturday shopping.

I needed some paper towels, but didn’t have too much trouble figuring out which ones to buy today. Since I looked a bit like the Brawny man it had to be Brawny.

I have seen a lot of red and black flannel this year. It is definitely a look I like. Reminds me of a proper winter with some good cold weather.

Oh, I didn’t wear the shirt to do my yard work. I wouldn’t want to risk ruining my nice shirt.

However, it was definitely a lumberjack day.
