Over the past couple of years I have been following the construction and then the opening of the East County Hall of Justice in Pleasanton. However, this is the first time that I have used the acronym (ECHOJ) that it is becoming known by in a post. The acronym is pronounced echo and then the letter J.
In my last post about ECHOJ, A Look Inside the East County Hall of Justice, I mentioned that it wouldn’t be too long before I would be dark when I leave work and I would then be able to get some pictures of the building at night.
Tonight was that night. I had to work late as I was gathering some information on a new product that I am teaching. As I was leaving the office I decided that I needed to take a few night pictures of ECHOJ.
From where I took the pictures you can only see the top two floors of the building lit up. They do look very interesting. It was also late enough that the halls were empty.
Here is a picture of the 4th floor hallway from the inside. They were even more deserted than this.
Here is a little closer look. I like the way that the hallways are all lit up. The building looks warm and inviting, although most people who have to go there probably don’t want to be there. The picture just above this one was taken from right near the door that is on the right side of the top floor in this one.
I do like the way that the doors stand out in the picture. They are definitely an interesting contrast.
I had thought about writing about turkeys tonight as I had seen some while taking a walk this afternoon. They will probably show up in a post tomorrow as I need to write one before heading off to the airport and need something quick to write about π
Now, back to packing.
