Last week on Thursday I had lunch at Rusty Bellies in Tarpon Springs, Florida.

When it was announced that we would be going there for lunch, my students got really excited as it is their favorite place to eat in Tarpon Springs. I soon found out why.

The restaurant was of course decorated in a nautical theme since it is fish restaurant.

I really liked this big rusty anchor. I made sure it was well secured before taking a seat.

We started out with some wonderful hush puppies. These are the best hush puppies that I have ever had. We had hush puppies on Friday when I had Fish and Chips, and there was nothing to debate about which were better.

For my lunch I had a grouper sandwich. Wonderful fish that was cooked just right. One of the best every fish sandwiches that I have eaten.

Rusty Bellies is definitely a place that I would like to go back to someday. If you are going to Tampa it would be worth the drive out to Tarpon Springs to experience this wonderful restaurant.

I am all of a sudden hungry for hush puppies 🙂
