I look forward to Wednesday nights when I am teaching in Australia. This is because I usually have the opportunity to go to Bible study at the Macquarie Church of Christ.
It is always good to study the Bible with friends, especially with some that I have known for a little more than 12 years.
I really like this big eucalyptus tree that is near the church building. It soars into the sky and is so stately. I need to look back some day and see if I have pictures from 12 years ago and see how much it has changed.
I also look forward to Sundays as I know I will be able to worship with my friends. I am not sure exactly how many Sundays I have spent with the congregation at Macquarie, but it must be somewhere between 20 and 25. This means that over time I have spent almost half a year in Australia.
Sometimes I am able to walk to the church building on Wednesday nights. However, it was raining tonight and the preacher picked me up at my apartment.
The walk to the church building is quite scenic. On one of my walks to Bible study I saw this noisy kookaburra.
See my post Laughing Kookaburra for more pictures.
I was especially happy tonight to see two friends who I have known since the day they met.
My friends met the first day that I was in Australia and now are married with two cute kids. I have enjoyed observing the milestones in their life over the years.
Wonderful memories tonight as I write this post.
