When you fly somewhere you will often see a +1 after the arrival time. This means that you arrive the day following your takeoff time. For my flight this week it had a +2.
My flight was at 10:40 pm, so that pretty much means that it will arrive at least the next day.
I am glad that I arrived at the airport early, as I had some problems with my Australian ETA. Two transposed numbers cost me an half an hour of phone calls, plus the cost of a new ETA, to get it corrected.
After a short wait in the lounge it was time for boarding. I got an upgrade, so was able to check off a bucket list item. Fly business class on a 787. It was also nice to experience the new Polaris amenities.
I was looking forward to dinner so that I could then relax and get some sleep. Here is my shrimp appetizer.
While waiting for dinner I watched a movie and then started another one while eating. I watched three movies on the flight and all were in Korean with English subtitles.
After landing in Sydney on Saturday morning after a 14+ hour flight I then took the train to the Macqarie University station. Then it was a two block walk to my apartment.
I am staying in a one bedroom serviced apartment near the office. It is nice to have a kitchen, washer and dryer and a separate living area from my bedroom.
I had to take a trip to the grocery store this evening to get breakfast items for the next few days.
Now to stay up for just a bit longer before hopefully getting a good night of sleep.
Enjoy!
