When you were little did you like to help your mom when she was baking?

Of course, one of the fun parts of helping with baking was the clean up.

From a young age we were often given the task of cleaning the beaters from the mixer.

Here my big sister is busy at work cleaning one of the beaters. Good thing she is wearing a bib 🙂

Here she is licking a beater again. This time she is not so messy.

I remember playing with the little toy house that is sitting on the table. This picture brings back so many memories.

Sorry, I couldn’t find any pictures of myself licking a beater. However, I have memories of cleaning beaters. The wonderful taste of cake batter or cookie dough as you slowly lick up every little bit.

Of course today we are all worried about raw eggs so maybe this is not the best thing for a little kid. However, we all survived so maybe it is not as bad as they think.
