Fourteen years ago I was teaching a class in Brazil. This is the only time that I have been to Brazil, but I have some good memories of the trip.
One of the memories was standing atop a victory stand.
On the last day of my trip I went Go-Kart racing with some of my students and colleagues. We had a lot of fun at the indoor track.
This was a staged picture as I was not the winner of the competition. In fact, I came in dead last.
I did have a lot of fun though as it was the fastest go kart that I had ever driven. All of my colleagues had spent lots of time at the track so had a lot of experience.
Plus, my go kart had to carry a bit more weight than the rest of them π
For more about my last day in Brazil, see my post Brazil Memories.
I am watching the Olympics now and will go to bed as soon as the swimming events are over. I know the results already, but I want to see the races.
It has taken a few commercial breaks to get this post written. Perhaps I should have pulled out the laptop π
Hopefully I will find some time this week to write some posts with some substance π
