Tonight I am home to repack my suitcase.
This morning I woke up at the Holiday Inn Ariel near Heathrow in London.
After a good breakfast I headed off to the airport for my trip home.
This was my second flight home from Heathrow in the last couple of weeks, so I knew right where I needed to go. Check-in and security were a breeze, although they did have to run some of my electronics back through the x-ray machine. Mental note to self that I have to take my i-Pad out of my bag at Heathrow.
I made it back to San Francisco after an 11 hour flight and then it was time to go pick up my car. I am basically checking it out for the day as it will go right back to the parking lot tomorrow morning.
I am now doing laundry and organizing what will go back in my bag for my flight to Shanghai tomorrow.
The mix of clothes is a little different as I will not be visiting customers in China, and it will also be a little bit colder. So, The Packing Formula has different inputs.
The first load of laundry just came out of the dryer, so that means that load number three is going into the washer now. It will be a long night. However, I pretty much have the formula solved so know what is going into the suitcase.
After tonight I will next get to sleep in a bed on Sunday night at the Crowne Plaza in Shanghai. Saturday night will be lost to the International Date Line and a long flight.
The flight to Shanghai is 13.5 hours so I will have spent more than 24 hours in the air within a 48 hour time period.
I think that I will be a little jet lagged next week.
You may not see any blog posts from me while I am in China, or perhaps just a few pictures. I have had trouble accessing my blog during my last two trips. See On Hiatus.
Now to get some sleep.
Steven
