I am not a big fan of Hostess HoHos, but when I saw Peppermint HoHos at the store I decided to give them a try.

Hostess has released quite a few limited edition snack cakes since they formed the new company. This is a great marketing technique and drives interest in the product. I of course am one who has been tempted by the new offerings.

These definitely remind you of the holidays.I opened up the box tonight and took out one of the individually wrapped cakes.

They definitely look like HoHos. However, one thing that I noticed was that they were smaller than they were before.

I was expecting a little more filling, and I think they would have been better if that was the case. There definitely was a nice peppermint taste to the filling, but overall the cake was a bit dry. Maybe dipping them in milk would help.

Of course, as I mentioned above I am not a big fan of HoHos so I didn’t expect my opinion to change much with this snack cake.

Maybe if they made Red Velvet HoHos. Those might be interesting. They do make Red Velvet CupCakes.

Of the Hostess holiday items this year, I prefer the Hostess Holiday Cakes.
